What is the average hourly wage of a forklift driver?

Im making 8.20 part time. My company trained and certified me on sight, so I call bs on the votech training. As for the pay, it depends on your experience, location etc. I could probably make upwards of 12.00 in my area if I were to go full time and be more available ( I am attending a 4-year university.)
For just being a forklift operator I would estimate between 8-12 as the average wage.

A forklift operator is one job of the category called "material movers".
You will need a vo-tech school education or some experience or training for most material moving jobs. Wages are relatively low and are according to experience. They range from minimum wage to about $20 an hour with people that are doing supervisors jobs earning the $20 hr.
