What are some good sources for entry-level safety jobs?
Asked by kikinhouston
I'm pursuing a degree in Safety Management and I'm trying to get my foot in the door of some company. I've checked job listings and they all list experience required. How on earth am I supposed to get experience if I can't find an entry-level position? I'm open on the concentration: Safety Coordinator, Safety Representative, etc. Also, Ergonomics, Environmental related, etc. Petrochem, etc. Houston, TX- Gulf Coast area. THANKS

My daughter is working on her Masters in Safety and is interning as a Safety Specialist at a VA Hospital. She has already been offered a job at the VA hospital in Knoxville. She got the internship just by walking in there and offering. It seems they get very few people in a Safety program walking in.
