Should one send a Job Application via mail or give the Job Application to Customer Service?
Asked by Beastflavor
I'm trying to obtain a job at a retail store, and the Application gives me these two options to choose from. Showing up at their Customer service desk and giving the Application shows that I'm interested, but a customer services rep MIGHT be an asshole and throw the Application away when my back is turned. On the other hand, sending the Application Via Mail might show I'm lazy, but it might be guaranteed to go to the Manager... What should I do?

Give it to customer service rep. If you don't hear anything in several days, follow up with the mail application and say you are just following up.

It wouldn't show laziness if you're just following instructions. It is an option they've given.

Do both. Send it via email and also give a hard copy to the Customer Service person. That way, you are insured that they get it and it will show that you are serious about obtaining the position. Just be sure you have perfect spelling on your resume and that you are ready for an interview.
