What advice would you give to a recent college graduate trying to boost their resume?

I am doing research on the emergent leadership and exercising leadership practices at the entry-level. Part of my research will look at ways for recent college graduates to bolster their resume and experience as they struggle to find work in the current economy. Thoughts?
