Is an outdoor painter a good summer job?
Asked by 98Mustang
I just got an interview for a outdoor painter. They want to meet at a mall ( I guess because its a small business ). Is this a legit thing to do over the summer? Does anyone else do this?

An outdoor painting job is potentially good for two things. The first thing is that it will give you experience in painting, so the question is, do you want to be a painter, or go into a career where knowing how to paint is useful? I would also say that it is commitment free, but any job is the same way with the same attitude. I would say that if you've been out of work for a long time(and it sounds as if you're in high school or around that age) then you may want to consider this job, but I would be very hesitant. I always prefer jobs that can lend valuable experience to where I want to go, otherwise when I apply for my next job, I'm basically starting at square one, with no experience that is even applicable. While it may pay, it probably doesn't pay well, and if at all possible it would be better to enter any other job that at least helps your mind, your customer service skills, instead of just working your back muscles. Good luck!
