Is there any job that I could have at a Dentists office without having some sort of degree or certification?
Asked by Anna L
I live in Florida, and I am going to school for dental hygiene. Im not in the program yet, but I am progressing towards it. I would love to work in a dentist's office to get a feel for the environment, and get to see what everything is like. I was thinking that maybe a receptionist position would be possible, but I don't know if that is something you need certification for because its for a dentists office rather than some company.

A receptionist really is the only thing. but in Michigan at least, most people go through a training (about 2 months) about patient rights and privacy stuff. The best thing that you can do is simply ask. Also, if you already are in DH school, they will probebly accept you.
Best of luck
