in home nanny-ing help?
Asked by darkroseangel442
i am 18 and i am trying to find a child care job but am unable to drive. i figured that i might as well try to find an in home nanny job but don't know where to look. is there a website that i can go to and see? other than craigslist? i want to work with small children and hopefully be a kindergarten teacher one day and do daycare type things til i go to college. i would do a different job but this would help me with getting more experience with children.

At age 18, you'll be able to get a babysitting job, but not one being a nanny because most nanny jobs require you to have a driver's license and some classes in early childhood education as well as first aide certs.

Since yu don't drive you have several options. #1 can you get a drivers license? You will need it some day. #2 Could you start a day care for children where you live, that way the parents drop them off at your place. #3 public transportation, is this available? See if some large company's HR depts would allow you to place a ad in their employees news letters? Put an ad in your local paper. Hope this helps.
