What is the difference between Practical Nursing Certificate and Licensed Practical Nursing?
Asked by Babii Gurl
Is the pay the same or different? Or are they 2 different jobs all together?

A:
Best Answer:
i think the certificate is what allows you to qualify to take the test to be licensed. Companies want Licensed Nurses

A:
There are two things that often get confused in nursing. One is the EDUCATIONAL degree you get (the degree or certificate) and one is the LEGAL license you get from the state after passing the national exam--that is the licensed part. You must graduate from a specific program and pass the exam to be licensed & you must be licensed to work as a licensed nurse.
