Will CAD help me at all with being a Computer Software engineer?

I want to be a computer software engineer and i was wondering if Computer Aided Drawing will be helpful? I chose that as an elective and I wanted to know if that will be helpful at all. Well i cant change it now. well there goes my dreams. Will this matter? it is all year do you think i can still get into a college for it?

Probably not, CAD is more for designing plans and parts. You'd be better off taking a language class like SQL or C++ to get your feet wet in S/W engingeering.
