What does a Account Executive at a radio station do?
Asked by laurenhonish
Is that a job that a new graduate can get? Does it involve a lot of travel?

A:
Best Answer:
Sells advertising. I would think you would need proven sales experience to apply. As far a travelling it depends on whether or not the companies you sell to are local or national and how large an area is served by the station. If the program is nationally syndicated I would think more travelling would be necessary.

A:
you manage accounts locally, which means that you have to cold call businesses, come up with creative ways to promote them on-air (giveaways and stuff) and be really personable and smart. Relationships are Key.
