Galina V
would working in a veterinary office be impressive for a medical school resume?
Asked by Galina V
I am going to apply to med schools, but the only medical exposure I can get this summer is volunteering a few hours at a hospital. I can possibly get myself a part time job working in a veterinary office. Would working there count as medical exposure and impress med school admissions counselors, or would it just make me look unsure about whether i want to become a doctor or a vet?

Med. Schools are looking for people with varied background. Our son was a life guard and swim instructor for 5 years - he is now in Med. School. I wish you all the best!!

Check with either hospitals, clinics, blood donor clinics, vet offices, dentist offices etc., and this will definitely impress the medical school. The more exposure that you're able to get, will allow you to get a better chance of getting into the med school. Hope that this helps you.
