What are the benefits to working full-time vs. the reserve in the Navy?

I've already decided to join I just haven't decided if I want to do it full-time or go into the reserve.

The Navy has a ton of benefits if you go full time. Not everyone has a job where they get guaranteed pay. The bigger question though is if you enjoy the Navy. You are going to find that out soon enough. Sign up for a four year contract and then decide if it's the right thing for you. One other thing to consider though is that you can change your MOS while you are there. After your four year contract is up take a look at what else you might be able to do with the Navy.
