How can I become a forklift operator in Texas?

I want to become a forklift operator here in Texas. But I don't know where to get training etc. I want to be trained before I apply for a job so they won't be hassled with training me and I will have a better chance of getting a job. Can I simply find someone who already operates and ask them to train me or how can I go about getting trained?
