Is starting a business to improve your resume a good idea?
Asked by Chelsea
My resume doesn't look very good (just a degree and three jobs). I want to start a business so I can put down that I did bookkeeping/accounting/QuickBooks, handled the legal work, and was a leader. I don't plan on taking care of very many customers or having any major expenses. So far Wayne Z is the only non-spammer.

You say you already had three jobs and have a degree also. Why not leverage your qualifications to fine tune your resume? A resume holds the mirror to a person's qualifications and experience. The more clearer and polished your resume is, the better the chances of success in your job search. Through the Summary and Professional Work Experience sections of your resume, address the needs of the job. Use the cover letter to further market your skills. All these strategies help you get the interview call. Read the 10 Tips for Writing a Perfect Resume at: http://tinyurl.com/perfect-resume Best of luck!
