How do I use my nursing career to study abroad?
Asked by solarboystephen
I am in nursing but I am really interested in taking my nursing not just into a hospital but to other places around the world. I know about travel nursing in the country but is there international travel nursing as well. When there's a will, there's a way. Thank you.

Another thing to look into is the cruise ship businesses. Most of them have MD's and RN's aboard and most of them travel internationally.

You can always become a nurse for the army or navy. They are all over the world and usually pay for everything. You get to change locals constantly and are never really in any danger.

I would suggest getting your training in the states but use your knowledge to get in with different hospitals - my friend is working at a Korean hospital in Ethiopia.
You can really fit in anywhere. Try Doctors Without Borders - I don't know if they are just doctors or if nurses are involved.
Look around on the web.

As a volunteer? Contact "Doctors without Borders" - they need nurses as well.
If you want to make money at it, try the World Health Organization, or the International Red Cross.
