How hard is it to become a Certified Nursing Assistant?
Asked by bluerabbit8400
I know a lot of people do it, but I am still nervous I won't cut it. How hard is it? What can I expect on the certifying exam? And how hard is it to go from a CNA to a Certified Medical Assistant?

I am training to be a CNA (Certified Medical Assistant) right now actually. It isn't as difficult as people make it seem, The most important things to be do are not procrastinate, because you will fall behind faster than you think. Always study, even if you're one of those "smart people" who have never needed to study before. As for the CNA exam, there are two parts to be completed, the written and the hands on. During the hands part of the exam, you are given three competencies/skills that are completely random. You could be given extremely difficult ones or extremely easy ones. The main point is to know what you're doing. ;) As for a Certified Medical Assistant, I don't understand why you would take the exam for one and then the other. Many people don't understand that they are two very different things. Go after the one that you want. :)
