It depends on the union contract. The union contract is what tells you how much the raises are and how much the cap is at. There are no levels in being a CO, if you want to move up you will need to take test for LT, SGT & Captain. You must know that if you start to move up you will not qualify under the terms and conditions of the contract since LT, SGT, are in different unions Captains are not in unions.
