In the state if New Jersey is it legal to give an injection as a non certified medical assistant?

took the medical assistant class but never sit for the boards

Legal ?probably not. But it has not stopped the Junkies Nurse Jackie may be the only exception

I think that you would probably have to sit the board test before you're able to give injections.

If you work in a private doc's office, you can pretty much do anything he/she teaches you because the legal liability is ENTIRELY the doc's. you don't even need to have gone through a training course. This is NOT the case however in a hospital type clinic. It may be the case in a group practice clinic tho, as again the legal liabilities are different. In the two states I work in (CA & MD) you do not need the certification to work and do whatever you are trained to do, including injections.
