I'm 23 and not sure what career I want?

I graduated from high school in 2004 and bought a house. Since then I got married, have a house full of pets, 2 horses (been riding for 15 yrs) and I became a certified pro dog groomer/trainer. I groomed for 3 years then quit because the money wasn't paying the bills and my back issues got really bad. So I got a job at a weight loss surgery clinic in the call center/marketing department. I basically sell lap bands, data entry and make appointments. Everybody at my job loves me but I gets so bored sitting for 8 hours. I get paid $16.15/hour. I've been here for just over a year now. I constantly need stimulation (no i dont have add) and although I could go far in this company, it's just plain boring! So i've been trying to figure out different directions I can take for careers. I've contemplated diff careers but I have no idea what to do. On top of that I have a full time job and lots of bills to pay so full time college isn't an option. I could most definitely do community college though. My question is, is there anybody here that didn't start their career until later in life? And if so, do you regret it? I just don't want to start taking classes in just anything since it'll be a waste of time at this point but I don't want to waste time not doing anything. Thanks

I'm 20 years old, and when I graduated high school, I thought I wanted to be a cna (certified nurse assisstant). So, that summer I signed up and took the cna I program at my community college. During that time, I was waitressing until I got certified. I thought for what cna's do for a living, the pay would be great. Boy was I wrong! 1 dollar over minimum wage!! So... It's been exactly 2 years this summer, and I'm now taking medical terminology, medical office administrative procedures, and medical coding/billing. I realized I wanted to work in the healthcare/medical field because of job security and the pay. I just didn't want to work in a hands-on clinical setting. So, in my opinion, a doctors office receptionist, ( and eventually a Certified Coding Specialist) is what I've decided to do with my life. You might like medical transcription, or even a pharmacy tech. They pay for all of these are great! (At least where I live, NC). I really recomend you check out the health and human resources programs at your community college. I work 12 hour shifts and go to school 3 hrs a day 2 days a week, and it works perfect for me! wow okay well I am 22 and guess what? I havent decided what career I want in the long term, I have always been in work since I left school, completed college and got my qualifications, however everytime I applied for a position with this specific qualification, I was constantly told 'we need someone with experience' and that really affected my confidence in being able to find something related to my qualification, I really want to better myself and whilst I am in a job related to another skill I am thinking of taking a qualification related to this job by attending college once an evening during the week I can still work full time but for this specific day alter my hours to attend the course I dont think its ever too late to change or consider your options, in life you can be good at many things, not just the job you are in, I think you just need the confidence to go for what you want, even if what you truly want to do, takes one evening a week, go for it! I havent taken the traditional route of college, then university (im from UK by the way) and it has been a minor setback however, there are ALWAYS opportunities around you, and its worth trying something new just to see if you will be any good at it, theres a first time for everything good luck
