what degree am i supposed to get for a administrative assistant job?

I see online that all these administrative assistant jobs are asking for a bach. degree. And I'm like ugh wtf... what am i going to get a degree in for this .. receptionism or filing or whatever.. lol it's not rocket science.. so why the degree for basically a assistant / receptionist job?

Honestly, nowadays employers want people for the job that can not only do the task well, but think critically. Having a degree gives you the business savvy you need to keep up in the world and to move up in the position you land. Try looking at Degrees in Business Administration or Commerce. These are all business related and will have applications related to all administrative duties and more.
