Which Coast Guard Job for a Machinist?
Asked by vinnie302
I am in the Air Force and have been active duty for 10 years. I am an aircraft machinist/welder. I use mills, lathes, and other metal working equipment to make/repair parts for aircraft and their support equipment. What job in the CG does this relate to?

Best Answer:
AMT or Aviation Maintenance Technician. They work on the CG aircraft such as C130, HH65, HH60 etc. There are also Aviation Electronics Technicians (AETs) and Machinery Technicians (MKs who do not work with aircraft). However, it sounds like the closest match to your description is AMT.
