I need resume advice, I need to know how to get it recognized?
Asked by pikee13
My resume simply has an objective and experience and school info. Is it necessary to have keywords or something that will get employers to respond?

Best Answer:
use a cover letter! the cover letter simply "advertises" and "builds up" your image, experience, goals and objectives (that have been met), in a positive manner. many hr personnel really appreciate the time that applicants put into their cover letter. the resume should not be longer than 1 page, so using effective adjectives and sentence structure to describe yourself is very important. always include "references available upon request" at the bottom of the resume, and have the list of references with you. good luck!

I would also include a Special Skills and/or Awards & Achievements section(s). Also, add a few of the "keywords" that are in the job notice you are replying to. If you have to submit your resume electronically, the employer may narrow the search by looking for those specific words.
