What is a job one step below a Registered Nurse?

What is a job I could go to school for right below a registered nurse? So I could go to school for that and work to put myself through school and eventually become a registered nurse in the end.

Honestly, the easiest way to go (if you don't have your LVN yet) is to do CNA, then LVN, then RN. Good luck!
Currently in CNA program, working towards RN! =)
