Are there really any secure tech jobs? Would I get anywhere with these certifications?
Asked by philpot90210
If I were to take this course, http://www.metrotech.org/majors/Information_Technology/Desktop_Support_Technician.html ; would I have a shot at stable employment? My alternative is going into the medical field, but this is what I love. I'm In Oklahoma City If That Helps.

Certifications definitely give you an edge and you are valued as a asset to the organization. That will give you added stability, but in this economy if there are budget cuts, then you really can't help, but you will definitely be considered before anyone will think about laying you off.
