Basically employers look for 3 things when promoting their staff: Loyalty Efficiency Attendance All you have to do is stay with the company a good few months and prove to be a dedicated member of staff, carry out all tasks given to you with enthusiasm (don't go overboard but don't be miserable about the fact you have to do rubbish jobs) and make sure you don't have any sick days. Alot of people say you can have at least one and be okay but seriously don't take any.

Work hard, show up on time, ask for more responsibility, and maybe take a few business administration courses (or get an AA in Bus,. Admin) at your local community college. The goal is to get noticed by your supervisors and the store management in a good way.
