How difficult would it be to work a entry level administration job, without any experience?
Asked by College Questions
I was thinking about applying for this administration entry level job, which includes answering phones, assisting clients, filing, mail, light bookkeeping and other administrative tasks. I have never work a office job, but I do have customer service and supervising experience. Do you think they would consider me to be a candidate? If so, how hard will it be for me? Or will it be an idealistic, easy job?

I can tell from the way you framed your question, that you have the most important skills, which are reading and writing well. I'm sure you learned many of the other skills you will need in your past jobs.
While in customer service, you learned how to answer phones and assist clients and you must be a responsible person to have supervisory experience.
If you can keep a checkbook, make deposits at the bank, and you pay your own bills on time, you can perform light bookkeeping with just a little instruction.
Sorting the mail is very similar to the same task at home, except at the office you will stamp it as received on a certain date and sort it according to who gets it.
Few people like filing, but it's simple - just follow the system that's already in place. And someone will show you the system after you get the job, so no worries there.
Go for it! If you like working with other people, if you are organized, and if you are easy to get along with, you will be successful at an administrative position.
