A bit silly question.. what do take when going to work in a warehouse?

Ok its my first day and I dont know how to get dressed and what to take there. I just know that safety footwear will be provided... Is it ok to wear jeans and tshirt and hoodie? should I take a bag with me to put something to eat and other stuff? Is there going to be a place where I can leave it? Hmm? Stupid questions. I know but just help me :D Thanks in advance! :)

Jeans and t-shirt will be fine. Warehouses are badly insulated which means they get very hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter, so depending on which hemisphere you're in it might be a good idea to take the hoodie too! Also some jobs require you to work in the yard etc such as for loading and unloading, so you need to be prepared, clothes-wise, to spend an hour or two outside if you needed to. Don't wear anything new or expensive if you aren't quite sure what work you'll be doing. You don't want your best stuff ruined. There may be a canteen, there may be a sandwich van, but your best bet is to take a sandwich and a drink so that if there isn't anything you're not left hungry and thirsty. At the place I worked you couldn't even drink the tapwater as it came from a tank on the roof with dead pigeons in it! Don't take any valuables with you. There will be somewhere to leave your bag and coat but that's not to say it will be somewhere safe and secure. So no phone, i-pod etc unless you are going to keep it on your person, take only a small amount of money (in case there's a vending machine, chip shop run, a kitty for tea and biscuits or whatever) and keep it in your pocket, and don't take your best bag and coat either! Jeans and T shirt will be fine, practical and comfortable, hoodie onl,y if you think you are going to be cold - if you need overalls they will give you them or you will have been told. I would wait and see whether the packed lunch is a possibility - they might have a canteen. You should get a locker but again it is something you can find when you get there. Good luck with it all.

jeans and a t shirt is good , hoodie is ok if you get cold , take a bag with your lunch, they will let you leave it womewhere safe. the biggest thing is have a good attitude, be safe, be productive, be on time if you do those 4 things well you will make a lot of money and go far in life.

I'm sure they will supply you with an over role and gloves, so it is up to you to wear what ever you feel comfortable with underneath, yes you can pack your lunch or maybe in your lunch time you can go out I'm sure near by will be a cafe to have lunch and some fresh air.
