Career Questions and Answers

Is it easier to get into a nursing program or a dental hygiene program?
Asked by raerae21
I will be applying to schools in Texas. Which do you suggest is a better career? I was leaning towards dental hygiene; it seems like it would be less stressful. How hard is it to get accepted? Also, if you get licensed as a hygienist what do you have to do if you want to move to a different state and continue practicing.

Well it is up to you on what you see as a "better career" - what is more exciting to you. Where I live, it is easier to get into nursing school than dental hygiene, but that is due to the limited amount of seats. If you were to move to another state, you would have to look at that state's licensure by endorsement procedures...every state requires different things. Good luck :)
