I am looking into training to become a cna. Is it better to work home health care or in a nursing home?
Asked by Kelsey L

i have experience in both and I would have to say that if you are looking for a set schedule then nursing home is the way to go because in home health care will cause you to travel to different residences to take care of people and it's not always guaranteed work. Nursing home work has it's ups and downs. you will most likely make more in a nursing home. depends on if you work with an agency to do in home health care of if you work on a private level. in a nursing home you also have the benefits packages and if you work grave yard you are looking at a shift differential. both are rewarding and both have the ups and downs but i would have to say start with the nursing home and go from there. hope it helps
