How can I get a server job with no experience?
Asked by hunnybee
I am looking for my first job. I have been going to college since high school and the only jobs I have had were working in tobacco and babysitting, which were payed in cash. I am wondering how I could land a server job with no experience? Anything I can put on the 'remarks page' to get them to hire me?

You stress the fact that you are a fast learner and hard worker. Always apply for a graveyard position as a new server...there always seems to be more openings for that shift, the traffic is slower so it makes training easier. Going into a busy day or swing shift is not recommended for a new server. But, it they will do it, go for it.
