What restaurant moves you up relatively quickly from hostess/takeout to server?

I've worked at BJ's restaurant for a year and two months as a hostess/takeout and they haven't moved me up yet. I'm thinking about going to another restaurant, so I can move up relatively quickly (ie; four months or less....) TGIFridays? Red Robin? Ruby's? Tell me please :) thanks.

It depends on the manager much more than the restaurant. Obviously your BJ manager is missing an opportunity to promote you. She is happy with your work and she doesn't want to train someone to take your place. Go ahead and apply at Red Robin as a server. and think in advance what you will say if they offer you a busser job with promises of promotion. That could put you in the same position you are now in.
