Asked by Panther
i have been working as a caregiver for an elderly woman for 6 months
i have not had a day off
original oral agreement was one day off a week
((id still be there over night))
90 yr old with dementia((sun-downers))
24 hr constant care
primary respite care
home health comes twice a week to give her a shower
they provide a room, claiming theyre providing the entire house
((rental dollar wise)) justification for lack of cash payment
i became aware of this when i tried to rent out the extra room in the house for cash to increase my weekly income
i was asked how much money they would get a month from renter
i put my foot down about the time off
physically/mentally exhausted
and was met with retaliation
my wages total verses hours worked, im not making min. wage
what are the legal steps that i need to take to rectify my situation

Contact your local labor board.
