What state should a photographer live in?

I don't mean because it's a beautiful state...I mean which state has a successful company that is most likely to hire a photographer? (Besides New York) AND, please refrain from states with a lot of natural disasters.

I would think there are many things to take into consideration here. For starters, what sort of photography are you interested in? Wedding photography in most all states can be a pretty lucrative business to be in and you could also include family photography, etc. into that if you wish. If you want some excitement, probably doesn't matter which state you live in as much as your ability to travel.
