What must i do if i want to become a mechanic?

Do i have to go to a school? If so for how long? What are thr different ranks that i will go trough? Is there any tips you can give?

It is nice to know that you are interested in becoming an mechanic,But for what? of the following . 1- Car 2- Bike 3-Airplane 4-Air conditioners 5-Big Trucks / Trailers 6- House hold Items 7-TV / COMPUTERS 8-Factory Machinery These are some of the areas you could choose,But for this you do need some basic qualification and experience as all the above jobs are a bit tough and need to use your hands and head. Yes there are many a rank in the growth of a good Mechanic. It would take at least 3 years of training at an institute of technical training or go through an engineering college it would take 5 years of study. Or you could join any workshop as an assistant and learn and pickup as the years go by ,but without qualification ,your pay would be peanuts when compared to a qualified / Trained mechanic - technician . wishing you all the best in deciding your future as an mechanic
