How do I prepare for a data entry job?
Asked by Shy1
I have an interview for a data entry job next week. I'm a great typist. I just don't know exactly what a data entry job entails. I want to at least look like I know what I'm talking about!

Practice your typing. If they do a typing test (which is likely) practice timing yourself at 2 or 3 minutes with different passages from books, magazines, etc. For every error you make your typing speed slows down by one word. So definately work on those errors if you make them! Research the company online and see what they do.

For general career information: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'data entry and information processing workers' or such.
