What type of training would be good for learning advanced reporting?
Asked by joezen777
I'm thinking a Microsoft Access course that teaches about relational databases but what other types of courses would you recommend for an employee that needs to learn relational databases and advanced crystal reporting? New Horizons and lot of those local seminar training classes are a joke. Thanks

At websites like Microsoft they have tutorials for learning how to use Microsoft Office:

http://www.baycongroup.com/excel2003/index.htm

Teach-ICT is a great educational website that has a whole bunch of teaching materials like these workbook exercises for learning how to use Excel, Word, etc.:

And there are many books for Access at an online store like www.amazon.com:

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Access:

Crystal Reports:

P.S.
You should also contact the above book authors to see what other courses to take to become a database administrator or programmer.

You'll be better if you take training on accounting. This way, you'll know the requirements of reports (esp. crystal reports), the flow of transactions, the logic of accounts and financial results, and eventually learning the appropriate databases.
