How can my boyfriend get his CDL license?

He does not have a truck to take the test in and really doesn't wanna go over the road what can he do?

You can call a truck driving school and they will go with you for your test for about $150-$300.

You need a special license to drive a truck in California. You mean 6/8 wheelers? - He needs that license in order to get a job, and he needs a truck to get a license. What a dilemma! I don't understand the part about him "really doesn't wanna go over the road, what can he do?" Well, I think he does have to go over the road to take the test.

He can go take the written part of the test which will allow him to drive with a CDLicensed driver. Then go to a local trucking company...dump trucks, local delivery trucks, etc...and offer to work for awhile without pay in exchange for the use of one of their trucks in which to take the driving part of the test.
Or, go the one of the truck driving schools and take the course which will culminate in testing with their truck.

Does your boyfriend have a steady job now?... if he does let him keep the job he has. You should be the one that pays for him to live. Let him hunt, fish, play video games ext. He is only young for a little while and he needs to have fun. So dont worry about cdl's or anything else. You get a better job that pays more and let him play.
p.s. just my opinion if you want to keep your relationship healthy, then you need to give in to his every desire!
