What would you do if you were me?
Asked by Pairah Normel
Your boss fires you.
You have been an amazing emloyee.
He says it's because he made a mistake. He should have hired someone with COMPLETELY different credentials, i.e.: I am an RDA (A Registered Dental Assistant and he says he needs an RDAEF- A Registered Dental Assistant With Extended Fuctions, meaning like 2 more years of school.) What do I do here? He is without a heart and I am without a job...and I have a little boy. 3 years old. Deserves the world. Any help???

Find another job, something for a paycheck, and if you have to, continue to look for a job that you have your degree in.

Yes, better way to deal with this matter would be to find another employer and this time make sure that you fit the bill neatly. Do not worry, with your professionalism you will not find it difficult to find another good job. Have faith in yourself and keep going, your son deserves it more than anyone else. Take care.

Find another job, then work until you can live without being a burden to society. Then stop working and spend time with your son. Work is not worth getting all bothered about. Your family is and your quality time is. Work is just a way to make the ends meet, once the ends are met you have no need for work.

Look for another job. Not an expert in the dental sector, but I often hear that professionals with your profile are in high demand.
It's possible he *did* make a mistake and if you're thinking of suing to get your job back, I think it's a losing proposition for you. Would you really want to continue to work for someone and be underappreciated?
As far as your three-year-old goes, consider that he's not really your ex-boss' main concern. For your own sanity and a chance to move on, start the job hunt. (p.s. ask your present employer to write a recommendation for you given that you were amazing)
