How to give a 2 weeks notice?
Asked by casoccerlvr21
I've been working at a retail store for about a year and a few months as a sales associate/cashier and im planning on giving my 2 weeks notice tommorow. In what manner do i go about doing this? Do i have to write a letter? and if so what do i write in the letter? or do i just say it verbally?

Best Answer:
you can just tell your immediate supervisor. one thing it's not uncommon for companies to fire you or let you go, right away without allowing you to work that last 2 weeks so be prepared mentally and financially if they do this.

How would you like to get notice? If your boss is in the store, make an appointment to talk to him/her. Express positives about your time there and what you learned. You never know when you might need a reference! I'd also have a letter prepared with the details. Showing professionalism is always a winner no matter how they take it. Good luck!
