A wind farm is just like almost any other engineering project .. in fact, as far as most on-site skills are concerned you might as well be building a bridge, tower block or power station .. lots of drivers (earth movers, diggers, pile drivers, cranes etc) lots of managers/supervisors .. (laying out the site, putting in access roads etc) The actual towers, generator 'pods' and blades and are all going to come pre-fabricated, even so I guess there may be some welding involved ... and then there's all the trench digging and pipe laying etc. to wire them all up together .. then I guess there's likley to be some sort of control room etc. so that has to be built ...
