My teacher said the Junior Achievement program was a good thing to put on a resume. Is it actually?
Asked by malice_.
So last year, my high school business teacher made us do this Junior Achievement program where we had to make up our own company and then sell our goods/services to students at our school. He told us that it was a good thing to put on a resume. Since I am now looking for a job, I am wondering, was he just saying that so we felt like we were getting something out of it or should I actually put it on my resume?

Job interviewers will cream their panties or jeans (depending on their sex) when they hear you were in the Junior Achievement program! Yes, put it on!

Yes, it is good! At your level, you want to catalogue every single extra-curricular activity you can think of. If not enough, you need to get off your arse and start participating in something meaningful that you would be proud of telling others about, that might give you a marketable skill.

You should ACTUALLY put it on your resume !!!!!
Use a separate heading at the bottom or your resume called, Achievements and Awards or something. You would list something like
Gold Medal award- Junior Achievement Program from such and such school.
