What are the best part time jobs for students, other than bar work (UK)?

What are the best paid and the most flexible? Try and be specific if possibl, i.e. don't just say "shop work", give a specific shop. If you know how much a specific shop pays, could you mention that as well?

bank tellers usually make decent money and are pretty reasonable with hours

If you have a particular skill you've picked up from university or college then you can try doing some freelance work. I would suggest the following websites: http://www.freelancestudents.co.uk http://www.gumtree.com At least this way you're getting paid and getting relevant work experience :)
