Can a probation officer be a probation officer for both juveniles and adults at the same time?

Or do you have to either be a juvenile probation officer or an adult probation officer exclusively?

Everywhere I have looked keeps juvenile and adult probation separate. It really is two very different populations of client, best to keep them separate anyway. With the right education and since the job duties are very similar, it would not too difficult making the switch if you decide to change from adult to juvenile or vice versa.
