What subjects should i focus more on to become a geriatric nurse?

For some reason I've been thinking a lot about what I want to be after high school. I'm currently in 10th grade. Becoming a geriatric nurse is something I'm looking into. I'm wondering what subjects I should start focusing more on, and if I can go to a community college to become a nurse in Las Vegas (which is my current location). Thank you guys!

You would need biology and chemistry and then take a nursing program. You would apply for a job in geriatrics after graduating.

Hi, i've just qualified as an adult nurse in London but before this my background was in catering. Anyway, on the course they cover basic subjects like science, maths, psychology and alot of research. so if u could get into things like that at school or college it could be helpful, also, over here we have access courses that are aimed to prepare u for the actual nurse course. and one more thing i think it helps abit if u try to do some voluntary work or even part time work in care because it kinda lets u see things before u start which can be an advantage. hope that helped even a little, sorry if it doesn't!!
