Asked by dari98dae99
What are the Pros & Cons of being a Human Resource Manager? I am about to start school for Human Resource Management but I first need to find out the pros & cons of it and what in detail is involved with the job( I know usually hiring, firing, training and benefits) but what else?

Best Answer:
Pros: If you are an effective H.R. Manager, You can have a significant impact on the organization you work for. You accomplish this if you focus on your most important objective: Hiring, developing, and retaining the best talent available in the market. Cons: The only thing I have to say on this is that you must understand that H.R. is really for people who are not power-hungry, as H.R. manages by influence, not power. This is the biggest mistake many H.R. professionals make, not understanding that the H.R. department is a "support" department, and probably the most important support department due to it’s influence, but it's only support. Never forget the primary focus of a business: To Make Money... If you can't be a true business partner, you will not be effective.
