How should I prepare for my career as in interior designer?

I'm in my freshman year of high school, and I have always wanted to be an interior designer. How should I prepare for that?

You can start by understanding the nature of the work, the work environment, and the educational and other requirements for a career as an Interior Designer. The US Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook is an excellent career resource, and they have a section on Interior Designers that you should read to be sure to get and stay on track.
