Kate
Can the clerk of courts demand more money from me than what the officer wrote on my ticket?
Asked by Kate
The clerk is saying that the officer should have written $50 as the fine, not $25, and that the court costs are $130, not $121. They sent my certified check back to me telling me to pay more. I called and the mean clerk lady told me to take it up in court, but I got the ticket in North Carolina and I live in Ohio.
