I work in a nursery i have just completed my nvq3 does my work have to pay me more i used to be a trainee child care worker now i am a nursery education officer but my pay hasnt gone up i used to have nvq2 and was a trainee and then i got my level 3 and they changed my job title to nursery officer

No. You should ask for a pay rise. But i dont think you will get one due to the bad times. At least you got a job ?

Sadly no they don't, unless it is part of your contract, or your job role and responsibilities have changed Having a level 3,still makes you a member of staff, not a manager, and that's where the pay rise comes in I've got a VQ level 4, and didn't get a pay rise,as it was furthering my qualifications,and looked on as personal development
