How long do human resources departments wait ?

Im applying for a position through a human resources department..the deadline for resumes is the 27th..how long after that do they wait to start calling people for interviews?

It depends on how fast the administrators plan to move. We generally call for interviews about a week after the submission deadline.

It really depends on the company, hiring manager, need etc... I would not recommend putting all your eggs in one basket. Keep looking and applying for other positions until you get that call.

It completely depends on the company, the recruiter, and how many positions they have to fill. I would say they'd start calling within a week or two at the most.
