Best Answer:
well it's best to work as a GN for 6 months while you waiting to take your board. Now if you fail you can pay to take the CNA license while preparing for your state board exam. Good luck

Nursing is a superb profession, I have met many tremendous nurses in my life, both ladies and gents. My daughter stumbled upon some superb guidance about it on the resource in the box below, and now she is in her inaugural semester of training.

You still need to pass the test before you can work as a CNA.

Most hospitals in the US will accept a graduate practical nurse to work in the capacity of an LPN as long as he or she can produce evidence of successful completion of a valid nursing program. We RNs are the same: I needed to go to work as soon as I graduated to support my wife and three kids! My local hospital was more than willing to hire me as a graduate nurse while I waited to take "the boards". When I had to sign nurses notes, I signed "GN" instead of "RN" It made no difference; the notes were a legal document anyhow. When I did get back the results of the exam and got my license, I got a fifteen percent pay raise that same day. I was also made charge nurse on the night shift...where I worked while I did my graduate studies. So go ahead and apply as a graduate practical nurse.

Absolutely! You can go to just about any hospital. Talk to the Nursing recruiter and take a position as a GN graduated nurse and begin working on the floor. they will either allow you to function fully under the license of your preceptor or have you train (doing both CNA and LPN duties) until you pass your boards. Good Luck! Dont fret... I worried so much but the boards took me 45 minutes and I passed the first time. I was not in the top 50% of my class, either, because I had to work full time while in school.... All my prayers to you!
